Resonate

There is a sound that has been resonating through time and space.  It was the first Word every spoken, the note that reverberates through all creation and our very being.  It is Jesus Christ.  Our task and goal as followers of Him is to “tune” our lives to that of Jesus’ and His Spirit, so that we can join the everlasting song of creation.

As we journey from the cross to the Spirit, as we see what it means to live a resurrected life here and now, through the words of Jesus, through “acts” of the early Church, the words of the first evangelist, and the psalmist, may we be filled with that deep, full, reverberating sound. And may this series also be a chance for us to draw on the collective images, memories, and emotions of our spiritual family.

Resonate is a Eastertide series following the Old Testament readings for Year B which is actually in the Book of Acts.

Product Description

Easter is almost here!  We have had a long season of self-reflection and self- denial in an attempt to remind ourselves that we find our identity in Christ before anything else.  Now it’s time to sing!  But not just a song that fades once the Easter sun goes down, but a song that will RESONATE for all time and through our lives, the world/universe/cosmos.

res·o·nate/ˈrezəˌnāt/

Verb:
  1. Produce or be filled with a deep, full, reverberating sound.
  2. Evoke or suggest images, memories, and emotions.

Everything in the entire cosmos has a resonant frequency.  A note, a tone, that when played or sung causes everything within it to be moved.

Check out these examples of resonance to use in your sermons as well.
